Luis Alvarez Roure returns with his second solo presentation at Stone Sparrow NYC with the collection Music and Muse. This collection of work consists of compositions that explore the deep connection between visual arts and music as well as the influence of one upon the other. The paintings in this emotive collection consist of portraits of world renowned musicians, such as Philip Glass and Steven Isserlis at work, as well as portraits of actors and other visual artists transformed into visions adopted from classical mythologies. This exhibition is an absolute must to see in person to closely examine the brush strokes that come together as if painted by a song. This show opens on 4/14 with a reception from 5 - 9pm.
