SKIN DEEP is a solo presentation by Tanya Gomelskaya. This collection is the culmination of over two years of meticulous work employing traditional painting techniques, experimentation, investigating combinations of mediums and found object applications. In this exhibition, Tanya is exploring the complexities of the human condition by highlighting the beauty in imperfections. Utilizing composition and scale as her tools, she is forcing the viewer to consider what lies behind the surface of the skin. Though at first some things may appear to be skin deep, the longer you spend time with them the more you will uncover.
